Asia-Europe rate falls 2.4pc to US$996/TEU, off 3.2pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe fell 2.4 per cent to US$996 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 2.3 per cent to $988 per TEU, The Loadstar reported.
Asia to the US west coast declined 3.2 per cent week over week to $1,555 per FEU while those to the east coast were off 2.2 per cent to $2,567 per FEU.
