Kansas City Missouri airport cargo falls 2.4pc in March
KANSAS City International Airport' air freight volume, including cargo and mail, decreased by 2.4 per cent in March to 18.5 million pounds, with air freight contributing 17.7 million pounds to the total, representing a decrease of 5.3 per cent year on year.
But March mail volume increased 215 per cent to 781,432 pounds. Air mail is up 37.1 per cent year to date at 1,971,894 pounds, reported Wisconsin's Aviation Pros.
Year to date, the airport handled 50.5 million pounds of cargo, down a marginal 0.1 per cent, while air freight fell by two per cent, after handling a total of 48.5 million pounds.
