CMA CGM applies Europe-West Africa peak season surcharges May 1

FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will implement peak season surcharges on cargo from Europe to West Africa from May 1.

The Marseilles-based line will also apply a peak season surcharge for cargo from Cote d'Ivoire to Asia, India and Middle East and the Gulf states of US$200 per TEU and $200 per FEU from May 1.



From north Europe to West Africa the peak season surcharge will be EUR100 (US$106) per TEU and EUR200 per FEU from May 1.



From Britain to West Africa the peak season surcharge will be GBP100 (US$106) per TEU and GBP170 per FEU from May 1.



From Scandinavia to West Africa the peak season surcharge will be EUR100 (US$106) per TEU and EUR200 per FEU from May 1.



From Finland to West Africa the peak season surcharge will be EUR100 (US$106) per TEU and EUR200 per FEU from May 1.



From the Baltic to West Africa the peak season surcharge will be EUR100 (US$106) per TEU and EUR200 per FEU from May 1.
