Hapag-Lloyd ups rates US$200/TEU from South America to North America
GERMAN container shipping giant Hapag-Lloyd has announced it will increase rates for all cargo from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay to Canada, the US Mexico, Central America and Caribbean ports.
The increase, US$200 per TEU and $300 per FEU will take effect May 15 and apply equally to dry and reefer cargo.
