Maritime economist Bill Ralph joins port of Virginia's trade symposium
MARITIME Economist, Bill Ralph of RK Johns & Associates will join the morning keynote at the Virginia Maritime Associations 14th Annual International Trade Symposium on May 10-12 to discuss "Global Economic & Trade Outlook: A Game Changer for the US?"
Mr Ralph will focus on the direction of the economies of the US and its key trading partners, and the economic conditions that are likely to result in the biggest changes in trade. His economic and trade forecasts will provide insights on the risks and rewards ahead for ports, BCOand their service providers.
This keynote address will be delivered in the context of the symposium's theme, "Hear of Transition" and in combinations with three panel discussions: Ocean Carrier Roulette, Welcome to 2017; The New Supply Chain Model: What's Driving Logistics?; and Open or Shut: A New Age Trade Policy.
As part of the itinerary there will be pre-conference networking event and Maritime Mixer on the Spirit of Norfolk hosted by the Propeller Club of Norfolk. The next day, May 11, VMA抯 97th Annual Maritime Banquet will follow the International Trade Symposium that same evening. The conference is followed by a golf outing on May 12.
