Singapore to dredge West Jurong Channel from April 20 to June 30
SINGAPORE dredging operations, involving 10 vessels, four tugs, three hopper barges, two crane barges and one dredger, will start this week off the Keppel Singmarine Shipyard, West Jurong Channel.
The work will be done 24/7 including public holidays within a working area of a 50-metre radius, centred on the dredger from April 20 until June 30.
When in the vicinity, mariners are reminded to keep clear of the area, maintain a proper lookout, proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution and communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance if necessary.
