Heavy swell, sand storms stop operations at Jeddah and Jubail ports
ADVERSE weather, including heavy swells and sand storms, have curtailed port operations at the Red Sea ports of Jeddah and Jubail, Saudi Arabia, reports GAC Hot Port News.
Due to a sand storm, Jeddah Port stopped operation from 0630 April 18.
Similarly. strong winds and heavy swell, prompted the port authority at Jubail to stop all ports operations, except at Berths No 61 & 62 (OSTT berths) at 1620 hours April 17.
Port operations at Jubail resumed at 1100 hour April 18 and the port is now working normally.
