Special arrangements for Hong Kong-Philippines San Fernando yacht race
THIRTY-FIVE yachts are taking part in this year's San Fernando race from Hong Kong to the Philippines, which will be held between April 12 to April 16.
According to the Hong Kong Marine Department the race will start on April 12 at 1330 hours at a place off the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter. It will follow an easterly route through the harbour, Tathong Channel and Waglan Island, thence to the Philippines.
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity of the race route should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants. Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 is mandatory.
