Asia-Europe rate falls 0.2pc to US$836/TEU, off 7pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe fell 0.2 per cent to US$836 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 2.4 per cent to $817 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast declined seven per cent week over week to $1,375 per FEU while those to the east coast down five per cent to $2,436 per FEU.
