UPS commences Lithuania-Cologne service with later collection times
UPS has launched a new direct flight from Kaunas, Lithuania, to its European hub in Cologne, Germany. The service was added to enable UPS to offer later collection times for export shipments from Lithuania, as well as add capacity.
"UPS can now offer companies in Lithuania up to three additional hours of production time due to the later collection times," said president Daniel Carrera of UPS East Europe.
Sprint Air operates the new route with an ATR-72 freighter aircraft that has a payload capacity of eight tonnes, more than doubling the previous capacity on the route, reported New York's Air Cargo World.
