CMA CGM posts range of new Asia-North Europe/Med rate hikes for April
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced a series of rate increases effective April 5 on cargo from the Indian subcontinent to north Europe and the west Mediterranean.
From Pakistan to north Europe and the Mediterranean rates will rise to US$1,184 per TEU, $1,680 per FEU and $1,960 per FEU high cube.
These rates include the basic freight, subject to bunker surcharges, THCs, peak season charges and similar charges and the security related surcharges accessible at http://www.cma-cgm.com/ebusiness/tariffs/charge-finder. Other charges such as contingency charges and local charges may also apply.
From Pakistan to north Europe and the west Mediterranean rates will rise to $2,500 per TEU, $2,300 per FEU and $2,300 per FEU high cube.
These rates include the basic ocean freight, bunker related surcharges applicable during the month of April, the Aden Gulf Surcharge, the Suez Canal Surcharge and the security surcharge.
