CH Robinson opens 7 Asian, Canadian offices after buying APC Logistics
THIRD-PARTY logistics services provider CH Robinson has opened seven new offices in Asia and Canada, on top of acquiring Melbourne-headquartered APC Logistics, a provider of freight forwarding and customs brokerage services in the Australasia region.
The new global forwarding division offices are located in Hanoi, Vietnam; Chengdu and Nanning, China; and Ludhiana, Indore and Vizag in India, plus one in Vancouver.
Furthermore, the acquisition of APC Logistics, adds seven new office locations in Australia and two in New Zealand to CH Robinson's global network.
"As our customers are going global with their supply chains, we feel that it is crucial to have boots on the ground in those locations as well," explained president of global forwarding, Mike Short.
Shipments organised across all of the company's offices, including those branches acquired through the APC acquisition, will be integrated into the company's proprietary technology platform, Navisphere, which offers shippers visibility on their cargo's process through the delivery process.
