Asia-Europe rate falls 10.8pc to US$913/TEU, off 11.3pc to Med ports
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe fell 10.8 per cent to US$913 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 11.3 per cent to $876 per TEU, American Shipper reported. Asia to the US west coast slipped 6.1 per cent week over week to $1,964 per FEU while those to the east coast off five per cent to $3,456 per FEU.
