Foul weather brings operations to a halt at Port Jubail on Persian Gulf
STRONG winds and foul weather were continuing to affect operations at the Saudi Arabian Port of Jubail on the Persian Gulf south of Kuwait, reports GAC Hot Port News.
Berthing and unberthing was suspended by the port authority from 15.40 hours local time due to wind speeds of 30 knots. Operations resumed at 21.00 hours but only for vessels underway. Berthing and unberthing inside the port and break water berths recommenced at 05.45 hours today, but not at berths 61 & 62 (OSTT berth).
