Antonov Airlines names Dreamlifts London Stansted general sales agent
UKRAINE's Antonov Airlines has appointed Dreamlifts Ltd as its general sales agent based at the carrier's new UK offices in London Stansted Airport's Diamond Hangar, replacing Ruslan International, reports London's Air Cargo News.
Ruslan International was a joint venture between Kiev-based Antonov, which flies the one of the world's biggest aircraft and Russia's Volga-Dnepr Airlines, of Ulyanovsk, 890 kilometres east of Moscow. The JV's dissolution on December 31 was announced earlier.
Until the arrival of the Boeing 747-8F, the An-124 was, for 30 years, the world's highest aircraft gross weight production cargo aircraft, according to Wikipedia.
Dreamlifts' sales team for the airline includes Paul Furlonger, having worked with Antonov aircraft for 26 years; Graham Witton, who joined the airline in 1999; Michael Goodisman, whose career with the company began in 1996; Paul Bingley, who has 30 years' aviation experience; Martin Griffiths, who has worked with An-124-100s in operational and sales roles and industry veteran Martin Banns.
Said Dreamlifts managing director, Mr Wittons: "The new Antonov sales team looks forward to continuing its strong relationships with past customers, and to providing solutions for all their outsize cargo charter requirements - no matter how complex!"
