AeroUnion is fourth carrier to start Miami-Mexico service
ALL-CARGO carrier AeroUnion has launched a new twice-weekly service connecting Miami International Airport (MIA) with Mexico City and Merida operated by either an Airbus A300 freighter or Boeing 767-200 freighter.
The cargo carrier is the fourth to launch services to MIA this year, afterNorthern Air Cargo started four weekly charter flights in November, including two weekly freighter flights between MIA, San Juan and Saint Martin; one weekly flight that will operate between MIA and Santo Domingo; and one weekly flight that will operate between MIA, Port-au-Prince and Santo Domingo.
Also in November, US carrier 21 Air began six weekly frequencies between MIA and Bogota, and two weekly flights on a triangular route between MIA, Panama City and Guatemala City. Canadian airline KF Cargo started in April a chartered freight service between MIA and multiple points in South America, reported London's Air Cargo News.
