APL expands Oceania network with new N Asia-New Zealand Express II service
SINGAPORE'S APL is to launch a new weekly service linking New Zealand to key ports in North Asia, branded the New Zealand Express II (NZ2) service, starting on December 29 from Shanghai.
The port rotation of the new NZ2 service is: Shanghai, Ningbo, Chiwan, Kaohsiung, Brisbane, Auckland, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Napier, Tauranga, Hong Kong and Keelung.
"APL introduced the new NZ2 service to serve the China-New Zealand market in a direct and more efficient way. Compared to transhipment options, the NZ2 service provides our customers with dedicated and faster connectivity between the North Asia and Oceania markets,"said the carrier's head of Intra-Asia trade, Tonnie Lim.
With the launch of the NZ2 service, APL will offer six Oceania services that connect Asia with Australia and New Zealand.
