Air Canada Cargo adds Frankfurt to its growing freighter network

AIR Canada Cargo will commence freight service between Frankfurt and Toronto from November 19.

The weekly 767-300 freighter flights, operated by Cargojet through a wet lease agreement with Air Canada, are in addition to the 28 weekly widebody flights between Canada and Frankfurt currently operated by Air Canada.

Air Canada offers the most non-stop flights and cargo capacity between Canada and Germany than any other carrier, reports Mumbai's Stat Trade Times.

"The growth of our freighter service allows us to increase our global reach and leverage our substantial, growing international network," said Air Canada Cargo vice president Lise-Marie Turpin.

"It also allows us to offer main deck service to our customers with year-round capacity on key lanes," she said.

Air Canada Cargo launched its dedicated freighter service in June, deploying 767-300 freighter aircraft on routes serving key markets. Flights currently operate between Toronto and Atlanta, Dallas, Bogota, Lima and Mexico City.
