Cargojet expands freighter service to Air Canada Cargo to cover Frankfurt
CARGOJET Airways Ltd has announced the expansion of freighter service to Air Canada Cargo, through its commercial agreement, to add Frankfurt, Germany to the network, starting from November 19.
Operated with a Cargojet B767-300 freighter, the new Air Canada Cargo flight will depart on Saturdays to Frankfurt. This new flight will provide connectivity with flights already operating to/from Mexico City, as well as to the expanded second frequency per week operated between Canada and Bogota and Lima, which began in mid-October, Hawaii's TurboNews reported.
"The growth of our freighter service allows us to increase our global reach and leverage our substantial, growing international network," said Air Canada Cargo vice president Lise-Marie Turpin. "It also allows us to offer specialty main deck service to our customers with year-round capacity on key lanes."
Said Cargojet CEO Ajay Virmani: "We are very pleased with the expansion of our services, as we grow our relationship with Air Canada Cargo. It allows us to continue to optimise our overall freighter aircraft utilisation and to expand our range of air cargo services."
