Taiwan's Dimerco expands footprint on mainland from Yangtze to the Pearl

TAIWANESE forwarding and logistics specialist Dimerco has increased it its growing footprint in China, with Diversified International Transportation (Shanghai) Co Ltd.

To this it has added a Guangzhou Branch and Dimerco Zhongjing Int'l Express Co Ltd. The Guangzhou Branch sales offices in Shunde along with sales offices in Taicang, which also serves its subsidiary Dimerco International Transportation (Shanghai) Co to carry out its dual-brand strategy, allowing the company to enhance service quality and value.



According to Dimerco Express Group CEO Edward Lin, the company is targeting sales growth in the area, particularly in ocean freight.



揥hile already in a strong position with air freight, we now focus on ocean freight and a hub operation in southern China, Guangzhou, which has continuously increased volume since the end of 2015," said Dimerco Express Group CEO Edward Lin. 



Looking north to the Yangtze, he said: "And due to high demand that most local freight forwarders are unable to meet, on the ocean freight market we have recognised the potential for cooperation between Taicang port and Yangshan port, which provide more efficient and cost-effective barge services. 



Mr Lin said his new offices will enable the companyu to better serve customers in the equipment, material applications and auto parts industries.



Currently, Dimerco Express Group owns 75 service outlets in the Greater China region, with plans for further expansion during 2017.
