MAB Kargo offers new Kuala Lumpur-Guangzhou freighter service
MAB KARGO has commenced a twice weekly freighter service from Kuala Lumpur to Guangzhou to expand its footprint in China and tap growth in cargo movement.
The carrier will deploy an A330 freighter to operate the service that flies to Guangzhou every Tuesday and Thursday and offer 60 tonnes of cargo capacity per flight, reported Mumbai's Stat Trade Times.
Some of the key exports carried by MAB Kargo will include perishable cargoes, mainly seafood, as well as general cargo. From its hub in Kuala Lumpur, the airline connects customers to 20 destinations worldwide.
In addition to Guangzhou, the carrier's freighter network also serves Hong Kong, Shanghai Pudong, Zhengzhou XinZheng and Chongqing.
The connection to Chongqing was recently added to MAB Kargo's network as it is one of the rising prominent aviation hubs for freighter movement, especially in the export of high value electronic goods.
Chongqing city houses electronic manufacturing companies, such as Apple, Asus and Hewlett Packard. With these new flights, the airline is able to transport electronic goods to South and East Asia via Kuala Lumpur.
