NYK starts new weekly service moving cars to Vietnam's Hai Phong port
NYK has started a new car transport service Ruffles Ao Dai RORO Express (REX) linking Hai Phong in Northern Vietnam with Ho Chi Minh City and Laem Chabang (near Bangkok).
The NYK-operated car carrier Modern Link arrived in Hai Phong for the first call last month. And the ceremony to commemorate was held attended by the top management of the Port of Hai Phong, Tan Vu Terminal, among others.
The previous service for Northern Vietnam called at the port of Cai Lan once a month. The new service now calls at Hai Phong, which is close to Hanoi, twice a month.
NYK will attempt to accommodate demand for the transportation of finished cars to Vietnam, a country experiencing strong economic growth.
