ACI Asia Pacific Dredging summit held in Singapore from November 23-24
ACI's Asia Pacific Dredging Summit is to held in Singapore on November 23 and 24 focusing on the theme "Solutions to Challenges Faced with Manpower Procurement and Management".
Expert speakers will discuss getting the utmost productivity from labour and operational workers; dealing with varying attitudes and clashing opinions on dredging sites; assessing current and future maritime manpower demand and supply needs for dredging works; and highlighting the importance of investment in the education of specialised dredging engineers and operators.
The key topics include: understanding proper contractual set up to limit potential for disputes; how soil improvement is used for dredging projects to prevent excessive settlement of reclaimed land to be used for construction purposes; and aspects to consider in ensuring contracts are specific to the conditions of the operation.
