CMA CGM sets low-end commodity Europe-Asia rate for November 1
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced new rates for wood logs and sawn timber and well as for waste paper and plastics, reports the American Journal of Transportation.
From November 1, wood logs and sawn timber or lumber from Germany and France, such cargo will be carried at US$550 per FEU high cubed to all Asian main ports including Dalian.
From the same date such cargo will be shipped from Belgium and the Netherlands for US$400 per FEU high cube.
From north European main ports to all Asian main ports excluding Hong Kong and Dalian, waste paper and plastics will be shipped from Germany and France for US$650 per FEU high cube,
From the same date such cargo will be shipped from Belgium and the Netherlands for US$500 per FEU high cube, and from the UK for US$500 per FEU high cube.
