A-E rate up 8pc to US$755/TEU, off 3.1pc to Med ports
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe rose eight per cent to US$755 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 3.1 per cent to US$565 per TEU, American Shipper reported.
Asia to the US west coast increased 13.5 per cent to $1,914 per FEU while those to the east coast up 6.1pc to $2,563 per FEU.
