CMA CGM to levy multiple east/west, north/south rate hikes October 1
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will levy a $200 per TEU increase on cargo from Mediterranean ports, that is, the West Med, Adriatic, East Med and Black Sea to the Far East, Japan, India, Gulf and Red Sea.
Also on October 1, there will be a US$300 per TEU increase on cargo from the Indian subcontinent to the Middle East including Mogadishu (Somaliato), Somalia.
Also on October 1, there will be a EUR200 (US$224) increase on all cargo including dry, and reefer from north Europe to the Caribbean and north Brazil.
Also on October 1, there will be a EUR200 increase on cargo from the Baltic, Scandinavia, UK/Eire, the continental, the Atlantic Spanish and Portuguese ports to Trinidad and Tobago, Natal, Vila do Conde and Fortaleza.
