GAC opens 8th office in Brazil in Vitoria, home to massive port complex
GAC is continuing its expansion in the southeast of the Brazil by opening an office in Vitoria - it's eighth in the country - to provide shipping, forwarding and clearance services. The development comes just weeks after it opened an office to serve the Acu port complex.
"The establishment of our newest office is an important geographic step to meet the demands of our clients for a wide range of integrated services. The Vitoria port complex is the ideal addition to the locations covered by our existing network of offices, " said GAC Brazil country manager Rodrigo DeMarco.
Vitoria, the capital of Espirito Santo state, is home to one of the country's largest port complexes, covering the ports Tubarao, Praia Mole, Vitoria and Vila Velha as well as Portocel, Ubu and Regencia.
It serves as a distribution hub for a range of products including steel, iron and bulk liquids, and the complex is also home to offshore support bases for the Brazilian oil and gas industry.
The company serves the Brazilian shipping and logistics markets from its headquarters in Sao Paulo, with branches in Angra dos Reis, Macae, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Port Acu and now Vitoria.
