A-E rate falls 0.6pc to US$943/TEU, soars 35.3pc to Med ports
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe fell 0.6 per cent to US$943 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI), American Shipper reported.
Asia to Mediterranean trade shot up 35.3 per cent to US$702 per TEU.
Asia to the US west coast inched up 0.2 per cent week-over-week to $1,749 per FEU while those to the east coast also ticked up 0.2 per cent to $2,447 per FEU.
