FedEx launches pre-clearance service in eastern China for Japanese imports
FEDEX Express, the world's biggest express delivery company, has launched pre-clearance service for all inbound shipments from Japan to eastern China, the company announced.
Shippers who provide the required documentation before the shipment's arrival will enjoy an early customs declaration process, said a company statement.
Japan customers with shipments bound for eastern China can upload their shipment documentation through FedEx Electronic Trade Documents (ETD) or email FedEx on the day they are shipping.
Having done this, they can enjoy pre-clearance service, which will lower the chance of customs delays and reduce transit time, said FeEx.
The company has been working with local customs to establish more efficient operation models in order to provide a better customs clearance experience for customers.
This is the first time for FedEx to offer pre-clearance service for intra-Asia routes in China, helping customers speed up access to markets.
