CMA CGM ups rate US$224/TEU from N Europe to Central, South America
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will levy EUR200 (US$224) per TEU rate increase from north Europe to Central and South America from October Europe.
The increase will apply to all cargo from north Europe, which includes for this purpose the Baltic, Scandinavia, UK/Ireland, Continent, and the Atlantic Iberian coasts to the Caribbean, Central America, South America north and west coasts.
However, this general rate restoration (GRR) "does not concern the Europe-French West Indies, Trinidad, Suriname, Guyana, Leeward and the Windward Islands trade".
