FIATA's World Congress 2016 to be held in Dublin on October 3-8
THE International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) World Congress 2016 in Dublin from October 3-8.
The conferences is draw 1,000 forwarders who will be attending talks the use of drones will help reduce harmful emissions in the environment, and ways to enhance supply chain resilience.
The air cargo component of the World Congress will feature three topic areas: Extracting more value from the air cargo supply chain together, the last mile - best practices and trends and sustainable packaging - myth or reality - its impact on air freight.
The congress will coincide with FIATA'S 90th birthday. The association now represents an industry covering 40,000 forwarding and logistics firms employing 10 million people in 160 countries.
Event host, the Irish International Freight Association (IIFA), says that networking will be a key aspect of the whole event.
"In keeping with the theme of the conference in 2016: 'Ireland: Where Networking Comes Naturally' - we are very keen to generate an enthusiasm for networking amongst freight forwarders who, at the same time, can enjoy the friendly atmosphere of our city and country."
