Maersk announces transpacific rate increases to take effect October 1
MAERSK Line, the world's biggest container shipping company, will levy a transpacific westbound (US/Canada to Asia) rate increase for all dry cargo transiting through east, Gulf and west coast ports from October 1.
The following charges will apply to cargo from east, Gulf and west coast ports in the US and Canada: US$80 per TEU, $100 per FEU, $100 per FEU high cubed and $140 per 45 footer.
The following charges will apply to cargo originating from inland points in the US and Canada: $120 per TEU, $150 per FEU, $150 per FEU high cubed and $190 per 45 footer.
