Harris Pye Engineering offers turnkey scrubber installation packages
THE Harris Pye Engineering Group, of Cowbridge, the Vale, Wales, is offering turnkey scrubber installation packages, having installed units for major cruise lines, according to the company.
The company's most recent installation was that of a DNV GL certified emission purification system in compliance with MARPOL regulation 14 of Annex V1 for the control of emissions.
The design package for open and closed loop systems was utilised to model and fabricate all piping systems, hardware integration, and major/minor steelworks.
A new decorative funnel extension was designed, fabricated and installed to encapsulate the scrubber tower and newly constructed technical room.
Harris Pye is currently installing similar systems on other large cruise vessels with completions imminent and throughout the year.
'Not surprisingly, we are seeing a marked increase in interest in complete turnkey installation packages for exhaust gas scrubber system," said Harris Pye chief technical officer Chris David.
'Vessel owners are able to benefit from local and globally discounted supply chain costs and reduced installation times," he said.
Over the past 10 years, Harris Pye Engineering offers services that include in situ repair, upgrade and conversion of rigs, semi-submersibles, trading tankers, FSU, FSO, FPSO and FSRU units.
