A-E rate falls 10pc to US$691/TEU, drops 15pc to Med ports
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe fell 10 per cent to US$691 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
The Asia-Mediterranean component of the SCFI dropped 15 per cent to US$594 per TEU, IHS Media reported.
Asia to the US west coast off four per cent week-over-week to $1,158 per FEU while those to the east coast off four per cent to $1,694 per FEU.
