San Francisco cargo volumes up 9.6pc to 39,283 tonnes in June
SAN FRANCISCO International Airport handled 39,283 tonnes of cargo - freight and mail - in June, an increase of 9.6 per cent year on year.
Two-thirds was international cargo. The rest was domestic.
But over the course of the entire 2015-16 financial year the airport handled 383,305 tonnes of cargo, almost exactly same as in the previous year.
Said airport director Ivar Satero: "Looking ahead, our focus is infrastructure, to ensure that SFO can grow and make a positive economic contribution in the Bay Area."
