A-E rate falls 10.4pc to US$771/TEU, off 19.2pc to Med ports
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe fell 10.4 per cent to US$771 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
The Asia-Mediterranean component of the SCFI dropped 19.2 per cent to US$699 per TEU, IHS Media reported.
Asia to the US west coast off four per cent week-over-week to $1,225 per FEU while those to the east coast off six per cent to $1,768 per FEU.
