CMA CGM hikes FE-South Africa rate US$500-$600/TEU from September
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will levy a US$500 per TEU rate increase on all cargo from China and the Far East to South Africa and Port Louis, Mauritius from September 1.
The company will also apply a $300 per TEU increase on cargo from China and the Far East and southeast Asia to Mozambique and Tamatave, Madagascar.
The increase, that applies to all cargo including dry, reefer, OOG and breakbulk, was said to be part of a rate restoration programme.
