Maersk to levy US$400/FEU peak season surcharge from September 1
MAERSK Line, the world's biggest shipping company, has announced a peak season surcharge (PSS) for shipments from the Middle East, India and Pakistan to the United States and Canada from September 1.
Charges will be US$325 per TEU, $400 per FEU, $400 per 40-foot high cube and $500 per 45-footer.
This will apply to containers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, Yemen bound for the United States and Canada.
