New CMA CGM Med service to the Caribbean, Mexican Gulf and WCSA

CMA CGM upgrades MGE service coverage, frequency and reliability. 

The service has become the 'Med Americas", which is a stand-alone CMA CGM service operated by a fleet of eleven 2,500-TEU vessels.



Starting with the sailing of the Pomeranian Sky, voyage 067MGW, for Mexican/ US Gulf/ Caribbean/ west coast South America origins; and the Angol, voy. 071MGW, for Mediterranean origins, the Med Americas will have the following features:



Five new direct calls to west coast South America: Balboa, Manzanillo (Panama), San Antonio (Chile), Callao (Peru), Buenaventura (Colombia), a company statement said.



Also, a special focus on the reefer market from Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia to the Mediterranean area; fast transit times of 15 days from Guayaquil to Algeciras, and 19 days to Malta; and optimised connections to Greece, Turkey and Egypt thanks to the alignment of the carrier's feeder berthing windows in Malta.
