New CMA CGM service to Thailand, Singapore, Colombo, USEC, Canada
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has launched a new service, called Bengal Bay Express, that links the US east coast and Canada to Thailand, Singapore and Colombo.
The service will be operated by 11 x 6,500-TEU containerships on a weekly basis, reported American Journal of Transportation.
The port rotation of the new service is: Laem Chabang, Singapore, Colombo, Damietta, Cagliari, Halifax, New York, Savannah, Norfolk, Halifax, Cagliari, Damietta, Jebel Ali, Singapore and back to Laem Chabang.
The Bengal Bay Express offers a quick transit time from Singapore to New York of 27 days; a fast connection from Chittagong and southeast India via Colombo to USEC and Canada; direct service and fast transit time ex Halifax to Mediterranean, Middle East and Southeast Asia; and direct service from USEC to Jebel Ali and upper Persian Gulf destinations offering very competitive transit times.
