Cargolux flies 4 Indochinese tigers from Czech Republic to Hanoi
CARGOLUX has flown four tigers to Hanoi from the Czech Republic to Luxembourg and then to Vietnam on a Boeing 747 freighter.
The three female and one male tigers belong to a species of Indochinese tigers, of which only 600 survive in the wilds of southeast Asia, reported Lloyd's Loading List.
"The four animals that Cargolux has flown will spend their lives in the safety of Hanoi Zoo which was eager to welcome them as one of Vietnam's national animals.
Indochinese tigers are also an increasingly rare sight in zoos around the world as less than 20 are registered in captivity worldwide," said the Cargolux statement.
"Cargolux's aircraft offer an ideal conditioned environment for the animals, thanks to ventilation and temperature control systems, including state-of-the-art HVAC systems, that duplicate any natural environment from four degrees Celsius to 29 degrees Celsius.
"With CV Alive, Cargolux guarantees specialised care by qualified staff that work to high professional standards to safeguard the welfare of all animals Cargolux carries."
