OOCL adds intra-Asia loop for China, Vietnam and Thailand
HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) is to upgrade its existing service between China and Ho Chi Minh/ Laem Chabang with wider port coverage and by offering customers with more comprehensive connections shorter transits.
OOCL's current CHL service will be further extended into two loops, the North PRC/South PRC shuttle (service name remains as CHL) and the Central PRC shuttle (CHL3) to include port calls to Incheon, Ningbo and Xiamen.
The new CHL, which starts on August 12, will call at Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Ho Chi Minh, Laem Chabang, Shenzhen-Shekou, Hong Kong, Incheon and back to Dalian.
The CHL3 service starts on August 14 calling Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Ho Chi Minh, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong and returning to Shanghai.
