A-E rate slides 17pc to US$776/TEU, off 20pc to Med ports, up 22pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe fell 17 per cent to US$776 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI), IHS Media reported.
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI fell 20 per cent to US$758 per TEU.
Asia to the US West Coast increased 22 per cent week-over-week to $1,421 per FEU while those to the East Coast up eight per cent to $1,871 per FEU.
