A-E rate off 22pc to US$932/TEU, falls 19pc to Med, off 4pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe fell 22 per cent to US$932 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI fell 19 per cent to US$951 per TEU, reports IHS Media.
Asia to the US west coast fell four per cent week-over-week to $1,166 per FEU while those to the east coast fell three per cent to $1,727 per FEU.
