Tiara's Air Cargo Forum to come to Paris from October 26-28
THE Air Cargo Forum (ACF) organised by TIACA is to be held in Paris, France from October 26-28, and will focus on global shipper issues with representatives from a wide range of industries, including shippers and regulators, collaborating to deliver insight into shipper challenges.
The confirmed speakers include the head of transportation and customs at Channel Fragrances and Beauty, Pascal Meyer; global managing director, Accentor Freight & Logistics, Adriana Diner; manager, supply chain and general affairs, Tosoh Europe BV, Lars JT Droop; Secretary General, Global Shippers' Forum, Chris Welsh; and distinguished engineer, IBM, Andy Stanford-Clark.
An update on the World Customs Organization (WCO) making their newly developed study report on Customs Brokers publicly available to all interested parties will also be presented.
In addition, a general background and overview of the Customs Brokers role in the international supply chain will be provided. The study report includes some suggested policy and organisational considerations for Customs Brokers regimes.
The WCO recommends the study report as a reference possibility and/or a guideline in maintaining, adjusting or establishing brokerage regimes, taking into consideration any national specificities and circumstances. The report shows also possible opportunities where Customs and brokers could cooperate, including joint capacity building, a statement from TIACA said.
