China, India, Kenya improve their performance in World Bank report
GERMANY has for the third time emerged as a top performer and Syria ranked lowest on their trade logistics performance, according to the World Bank.
The WB's report examined the performance of 160 countries with marked improvements scored by Kenya, India and China from previous performance.
But progress slowed for the first time since 2007 in world's poorest countries, while emerging economies continued to improve, according to the Logistics Performance Index.
The index forms part of the biannual report, Connecting to Compete 2016: Trade Logistics in the Global Economy.
Data from 1,200 logistics professionals ranks countries on supply chain performance, including infrastructure, quality of service, shipment reliability and customs clearance.
In six years, the world's top 10 performers have remained consistent and include dominant players in the supply chain industry.
Poor performers are low-income economies are often landlocked, small islands or either active or recent war zones.
