Kuehne + Nagel divides European operations, west and east/central
KUEHNE + NAGEL (KN) is to establish two organisational units: one for Central/Eastern Europe in Hamburg and the other for western Europe in Amsterdam from October 1.
Former DB Schenker European chief Hansjoerg Rodi join the Swiss forwarding giant to lead the central/east office, while Mideast/Africa chief Peder Winther heads the western operation.
Said KN International chief executive Detlef Trefzger: "The establishment of two equally strong European regions will enable us to manage our business in Europe even more focused."
