A-E rate falls 14pc to US$657/TEU, off 11pc to Med ports, falls 5pc USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe dropped 14 per cent to US$657 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI), IHS Media reported.
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI declined 11 per cent to US$788 per TEU.
Shanghai to the US west coast down five per cent to $811 per FEU as rates to the US east coast off two per cent to $1,649 per FEU.
