A-E rate falls 13pc to US$527/TEU, off 13pc to Med, off 8pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe dropped 13 per cent to US$527 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI declined 13 per cent to US$754 per TEU.
Shanghai to the US west coast decreased eight per cent to $753 per FEU as rates to the US east coast off 4.4 per cent to $1,547 per FEU.
