CMA CGM to hike Asia-Med rate US$450/TEU twice, June 1, June 15
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced a two step US$450 per TEU rate increase from Asia to the Mediterranean and Black Sea and EUR400 (US$452) per TEU to Syria that will be implemented on June 1.
Called a rate restoration, the increase will also apply on cargo from Far East and Japan to the West Med, Adriatic and North Africa trades.
The Marseilles shipping company also said that the second step in the rate increase will apply in the same amount to the same ports on June 15.
